Who Is Greg Friel?
Born in Ireland, raised in New York, and now proudly based in Glasgow, Scotland, Greg Friel’s life has always been fuelled by creativity, storytelling, and a healthy dose of big ideas.
After graduating from the University of Glasgow with an MA (Arts), Greg launched his career in the music industry as a singer, entertainer, songwriter, producer, and video director. His work as a producer has taken him across the globe-from New York and Amsterdam to Germany, Nashville, and even Hollywood, with projects featured on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
As social media reshaped the creative landscape, Greg shifted his focus to helping musical artists -and later businesses-stand out online. Through workshops, training, and consultancy, he began guiding brands to create content with clarity, confidence, and purpose.
In recent years, Greg’s work has expanded into bold, movie-themed events and brand activations that are anything but ordinary. Projects like Pop Gun and Mission ImPOPible started as fun, low-budget short films and quickly evolved into gloriously over-the-top red-carpet events. By blending creative event design, video production, branding, and marketing, Greg creates fully immersive experiences that people remember (and talk about).
Today, Greg works closely with solo entrepreneurs and SMEs as a Marketing Mentor, combining practical branding and marketing guidance with personal development - because mindset matters just as much as strategy.
As a consultant, he specialises in brand storytelling, marketing, and finding unique creative solutions to business challenges. He also delivers workshops on brand clarity and positioning, content marketing, and storytelling, helping businesses communicate who they are and why they matter.
Alongside this, Greg partners with Creatovators CIC to deliver Autism Awareness and Inclusion Training to the business sector.
As a speaker, Greg delivers engaging keynotes on storytelling, marketing, creativity, and motivation-always with energy, insight, and real-world experience.
Greg is currently writing his first non-fiction book, Monsters Only Live In The Dark: How to Defeat Overthinking & Imposter Syndrome, aimed at business owners, artists, and high-performers ready to step out of the shadows and into their full potential.
